Terms of Service
Last updated · April 2026
By using Tripizy you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use it — this is a "shake hands or walk away" kind of agreement.
What Tripizy is
Tripizy is a tool for splitting expenses on group trips. You can create a trip, share a link, and have everyone track and settle what they owe. It is not a bank, not a licensed money transmitter, and it does not hold funds — you settle money between yourselves using Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or whatever else. Tripizy is a record-keeper.
Accounts
Most of Tripizy works without an account. If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping access to the email it uses. We'll never ask you for a password, because there isn't one — sign-in is a magic link.
Plans and payments
- Free: the core experience, always free.
- Per-trip unlock ($4, one-time): unlocks Pro features for a specific trip.
- Pro ($29/year, recurring): unlimited trips, every feature, billed annually.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Pro is a subscription — it renews automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime; cancellation is effective at the end of the paid period (no mid-year refunds), which means you keep Pro features until the expiration.
Refunds
Per-trip unlocks ($4) are non-refundable after the trip is unlocked. For Tripizy Pro ($29/year), we'll refund the most recent annual charge if you request it within 14 days of payment and haven't used a Pro feature during that window. Outside the 14-day window, you can cancel anytime and keep Pro until the paid year ends. Email info.tripizy@gmail.com for refund requests.
What you're responsible for
- The accuracy of what you enter — amounts, who owes whom, etc.
- Settling actual money with the other people on your trip (Tripizy doesn't move funds).
- Not using Tripizy for anything illegal, abusive, or that violates anyone's rights.
- Respecting other members of your trips — don't add people to trips without their consent.
What we're responsible for
Keeping the app running to the best of our ability, keeping your data safe as described in the Privacy Policy, and not selling your data. We don't guarantee uptime or that the app will be bug-free. Tripizy is provided "as is."
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tripizy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months (or $50 if you have never paid — whichever is greater).
Termination
You can stop using Tripizy at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, try to reverse-engineer it, or use it to harm others — though in almost every case we'll reach out first.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the change is material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and email signed-in users. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Tripizy is headquartered. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of that jurisdiction or, where permitted, by binding arbitration.
